After The Rain

I LOVE my fingerless gloves, my mother made them :) and they are gorgeous. They are the perfect color and are one of my favourite things. I also love my Stella and Dot "After the Rain Brooch",  I wear it just about everyday! It's my very first piece of S&D. I really LOVE stuff like this...

Phil was soooo great to have around. He was a huge help getting things in order (hanging chandeliers, putting in dimmer switches, painting, making great breakys). Him and Skip are gone now, we miss them.

MOVING!

 Two weeks ago we moved in. Mom, Dad and Philip all come up to help!! Was so great to see them.

 This was the first supper in the new house. It's in Terrrrrrrwillegar!

Fall

We've had a beautiful fall, so far. It is in my favorite season. So cozy and good! One thing I did yesterday was go to the U - Pick for probably the last time this year and I stocked up! I have an old fridge in the garadge that I filled with fresh veggies, that we can enjoy for the next few months. My freezer is really stocked too with fish from Alaska and JD's moose! I'm all ready for winter!

Granola. I tried a new recipe. Honestly, the things our generation does... tries new granola recepies and buys washers and dryers that are not Maytag... What is happening??

Any how.. this has molasses, cinnamon, pine nuts hemp hearts.... SO GOOD!

My day... it has been a while sense I have been home on a Saturday. Although I did get alot done, I do not have that feeling, of having it all done! We went to the market this am and got a huge load of fresh veggies and eggs! Then to Costco for more groceries. My fridge is stocked, I LOVE IT! Washed the stang.. went to Shoppers. Came home and put it all away! Then I sat down to read your bloggs. I love them, too! My favorite part of blogging is reading your! You do so well at keeping up with them. I really fail... So here is some catch up.

We were at Taste Of  Edmonton. Remember this dress? I bought it the year I moved to Wainwright (I actually wore it the day I left SLC).  Well... I have rekindled it! I have been totally wearing it this summer. It's an oldie but a goldie!

FACE Cloth

My mother says... the secret to pretty skin is... give it a good scrubbin with a face cloth, morning and night! No fancy cleansers required. I purchased this pack at costco yesterday... specifically for MY FACE! I do like the look of them.

I Made IT!

It is the Pioneer Women's sheet cake! We went to a 40th bday party last night. My job was to bring the cake... It was a hit.. Everyone loved it and some requested the recipe.  Instead of the pecans I did  the 40 in Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.. So rich and good.  It looked really homemade and imperfect! YUM! So thank you very much for the recommendation and advice :).... Today I am having a home day, feels like forever.. JD is working.. I`m cleaning, laundry, drinking coffee and stuff like that.  I will probably go to town for some spinach and berries soon!  And that's about it!

Summer at Last

The last couple of days.... have been so nice! Top down, kinda weather! A few weeks ago JD made this fire pit and last evening we had our first fire! I made smores with Caramilk, yum (they really taste better in the dark, though) it doesn't get dark until soo late now. I read my cook book (PW) and just enjoyed... and thought of you guys!!

First Day of SPRING at our house!

 OK... Here are my gauntlets... they are the greatest! They are hand made by Christina. They are green, you can answer your phone, you can text, you can find your keys in your purse, you can do all of this, with out
taking off your gauntlets. I love them and get so many complements.

 This is my new spring centerpiece. It has PINK sented candles from Gap.

 Soo... I still have tubbie time. I wash and dry my hair... then I pin my hair like this and sleep on it. In the morning, I unpin my hair and I have cute curls for the day!
